Every word, in order. But the section titles sit inside the paragraph, and the footnotes run together.

Precise output

4 credits / page — headings, tables, separated footnotes.

Chapter & section headings as real Word headings

Standard is enough for short passages and papers you'll read once. Precise earns its cost on long, structured books, where headings and footnotes are the navigation.

In both modes, some things may still need your hand: fancy decorated titles are sometimes misread, footnote numbers can shift, and poetry lines or multi-column pages may need tidying. The exact look of the original page is not copied — the text is.

What a converted PDF unlocks

Search what's not on Shamela

Shamela made the classical corpus searchable. Warrāq does it for everything else: your required edition, a new tahqiq, a thesis, your shaykh's mudhakirah.

One conversion, every AI tool

Scanned pages are awkward for study apps, clean text isn't. Convert once, then summarize, outline, build flashcards, ask questions, and pull quotes into your paper, in any app you like.

A book you can hear

Convert a scan into clean text and it can be read aloud by text-to-speech, for listening on the go, and opened by screen readers for blind and low-vision students — both impossible with a scanned image.

Why “Warrāq”?

Before printing presses, books moved through the Muslim world by hand. The warrāq was the person who copied them — page by page, faithfully — so that knowledge could travel from one city, and one generation, to the next. The warrāq didn't just store books, he made them usable for the next reader.

That is the whole idea here: take a book that is locked inside a picture, and hand it back to you as living text you can work with.

Pricing

Pay for what you convert. Nothing else.

Credits are the only thing you buy. One credit converts one Standard page; a Precise page takes four. Buy them when you need them — they never expire, and there's no subscription to remember to cancel.

Common questions

What exactly is a credit?

A credit is the small unit you spend to convert pages. One page in Standard mode costs 1 credit; one page in Precise mode costs 4, because the deeper reading behind it costs us more to run. One balance pays for both — and if your PDF already contains healthy digital text, converting it in Standard mode uses no credits at all; the app tells you when that happens.

Why not just use a free OCR tool?

Free tools are good at pulling out raw text. What comes back has no structure, and Arabic often arrives reversed or scrambled. Warrāq returns clean, correctly-ordered text in real paragraphs — and with Precise, the document rebuilt: headings, footnotes, and tables.

Do credits expire?

No. Never. Buy once, use them whenever your research needs them.

What if a conversion goes wrong?

Credits are only charged once your Word file is actually produced, so a failed conversion costs you nothing. Reading quality depends on how clean the scan is — see “What you get — honestly” above for what we do and don't promise.

I don't have Microsoft Word. Can I still use the file?

Yes. Your file opens free in Google Docs, Apple Pages, LibreOffice, or Word for the web, on any phone or computer. Arabic opens right-to-left automatically, with no settings to change.

Is my document kept private?

Your file is used only to produce your converted document. We don't read it, share it, or use it for anything else.
